Getting started
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
No install. Open app.pegcanvas.com to design, preview and download. Looking at the sample needs no login. To add your own images, sign in with Google in one click; there is no separate account to create.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Color separation, layout and print-file generation all run in your browser, and your images are not sent to our servers. When you save, the images go into the project file you download; if you choose Google Drive, the file is stored in your own Drive.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes, the editor has a phone layout. Projects with many panels or large images are more comfortable on a computer.
How do I save my work?
Download a project file (.pegcanvas) from the File menu and open it again later to keep editing. Once signed in you can also save to your own Google Drive.
Images and colors
Which image formats are supported?
PNG, JPEG and SVG.
How do I choose the number of colors?
On import you can compare 4, 8, 12 and 16-color versions. The editor suggests a count based on the image, and you can set your own. Nothing goes on the canvas until you confirm.
What if color edges look speckled?
The import screen has a noise-removal setting you can adjust. Illustrations and logos with clear color areas work best. Photos work too, but produce more small patches.
How many colors can I print?
That depends on how many filaments your printer can load at once. Pick a color count that suits your setup; each panel can also use its own colors.
Printing and mounting
What 3D printer do I need?
An FDM printer that supports multi-color printing, and a slicer that opens 3MF files. The export is built and tested as a Bambu Studio project; other slicers have not been tested one by one.
How big can one panel be?
Up to 240 mm per panel. At 120, 160, 200 and 240 mm the hole pattern is identical on every panel. Tile panels in any direction to cover a whole wall.
How do I match panel size to my print bed?
A panel has to fit on the bed. For multi-color prints the slicer also needs room for a wipe tower, so a size one step below your bed is easier to arrange. On a 256 mm bed, for example, use panels of 200 mm or smaller.
What are the hole dimensions?
Staggered slots, 5 mm wide and 15 mm long, in a board that is always 5 mm thick. Check your hooks and accessories against these dimensions.
How do I mount it on the wall?
Each panel has countersunk screw holes in its four corners, which you can move or turn off. The download can include a panel map and a mounting drawing with the hole spacing.
Is the print result guaranteed?
PegCanvas is responsible for correct dimensions, hole positions and color parts in the file. Filament choice, printer tuning and print quality depend on your equipment and settings.
Plans and licensing
What can I do on the free plan?
Download 2 panels, 3 images and 4 colors per image in each project. You can try every paid feature in the editor first, with 2 full downloads included.
How do the paid plans differ?
The design features are identical; the difference is what you may sell. Personal is for your own use, Commercial lets you sell the boards you print, and Studio also lets you sell and deliver digital files.
Can I share my work?
Every plan may share its work for free. Selling needs the matching plan. Exported files record which plan they were made under.
Will I have to pay again later?
No. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription, and future updates to the web app are included.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked.
Can I buy a plan now?
Paid plans are opening soon; the prices shown are the planned early-bird prices. To hear first, email hello@pegcanvas.com.
Who owns the rights to the images I use?
The images remain the property of their rights holders. A PegCanvas license covers your use of the exported files; you are responsible for rights to any images, characters or brand assets.
